Butterwick

Butterwick Station

The Butterwick Branch Shropshire

The three mile long branch line from Much Wenlock to near Benthall on the southern side of Ironbridge Gorge was built under a light railway order by the London and North Western Railway in 1896 as a rival to the Great Western dominance of the area. It was never built, until now in model form. This layout appears in books 1 through 3 of the Pen and Sword railway building collaboration series Pen and Sword Books: Railway Modelling (pen-and-sword.co.uk).
