Christmas Competition 2018
The theme this year was Down by the River Side and the winner was Alan Hancock with his humorous diorama based on Death on the River Nile.
The prizes were presented by Howard Smith, Features Editor at BRM and included a very generous gift of a Bachmann Class V1/V3 2-6-2T for the first prize winner. plus the first three prize winners, Alan Hancock, Brian Norris and David H received a years free subscription to BRM as well as cash prizes from the club. Inset in the picture above you can see Alan being presented with his winners certificate and loco.
In 2nd place was Brian Norris with his entry entitled 'How Green was my Valley'
Third place went to David with a canal boat and scene
Fourth place was awarded to Mick Allman who produced the most seasonal of all the entries with a Snow Scene and Bridge
In fifth place was 'Cottages and River Scene' by Peter Creigh
And finally, in sixth place was Dash Ashwood's Grounded Hut and Jetty
