"How to Build a Model Railway" book launched in Bourne
Member David Ashwood (Dash), the author of our first book published by Pen & Sword, was at Bourne Bookshop on Friday, 2nd December, to sign copies of the book. Dash was accompaned by Barrie Church with one of his model railway layouts and Alan Hancock with a selection of his dioramas, and there was a great deal of interest from the shop's customers. The book is about the basics of model railway construction, starting with the baseboards and is an ideal introduction for those thinking of taking uup the hobby.
Pen and Sword had a stand at the Warley National exhibition at the NEC over the weekend and reported good sales which is really encouraging – all thanks to Dash’s untiring efforts and superb writing skills.
The Rutland & Stamfor Mercury reported the event here: https://www.stamfordmercury.co.uk/news/modellers-secure-four-book-deal-after-vandalism-setback-9289555/.
