The Club was approached with the aim of making use of an existing layout and expanding it to incorporate locations that physical filming would be undertaken. Our Canons Cross layout was selected as a suitable candidate. A small team was put together maintaining social distancing.
We made use of donated buildings that were damaged or overpainted, stripped them down, refurbished and repaired to reflect the syle of Watling Street in Thaxted, Suffolk. The new boards were actully reclaimed damaged boards from the Stamford Show vandalism. WIthin 3 months we had a completed and operational extension.
We then had a dry run session with staff from Railway Modeller in attendance to interview, video and document for their November 2021 virtual show and publication.
Finally we took the layout to Thaxted to fit into their extended set of a cut away shed and commit to being 'Train Wranglers' for a day and witness a full film crew in action.

Our very own show, risen from the ashes of 2019's traumatic events and our inabilty to run a show in 2020 and 2021 due to Covid restrictions. This promises to be our best show ever. We look forward to meeting as many of you as possible, in particular the many, many generous donors who have helped us in so many ways.
